Dispensing the corny welcome-to-this-site statement, and diving head first into my new adventure....first stop, 398 La Trobe Street, aka Home sweet home! Rani, my new housemate, cooked dinner for the two of us, while housemate no. 3 Bud went off dancing. This deserves my first post for two reasons:
1) He offered to cook and I'm grateful.
2) It's a simple homecooked meal but he cared to present it decently.
Rani's medium rare Lamb chops with black pepper, thyme, caramelised onions and a good mash.
The lamb was done perfectly, with the seasoning atop the lamb done with balance. The mash was decent, not fantastic and a little too much butter, although personally i like it that way. However, the caramelised onions was the real surprise. It was like the cherry-on-top effect... a perfect addition to turn a good meal into a great meal.
Let's have lamb, oink!
